Mr. Chaim Schreiber was a master of treating workers properly. With over 10,000 employees, he was an iconoclast in the field of labor relations. He abolished all time clocks in his factories, decreed that workers should receive extra pay for holidays, when they would need more cash, and canceled a stock issue when the government refused to allow him to give shares to all his workers, on the grounds that it constituted a prohibited pay increase during a government imposed wage freeze. The BBC devoted a half hour to a documentary on his unique approach to labor relations.
Man Management: The Ultimate Bridge is a tribute to Mr. Schreiber’s life legacy, revealing Judaism’s viewpoint on fascinating subjects such as paying workers on time, strikes, fixing executives salaries and other employer employee related issues.
