The Moment Everything Changed

About ten years ago, Lauren and Ezra Kest did something remarkable.

They dedicated the Emunah & Tefillah series to Torah Live — and that gift became a turning point. It introduced the world to Rabbi Siddur, brought emotional depth and creative energy to Torah education, and showed what's possible when innovation meets inspiration.

It was a new awakening for Torah Live. And it set the stage for everything that came next.

Since then, Lauren and Ezra's sustained, visionary support has helped Torah Live grow from a handful of courses into a comprehensive library used by families and schools around the globe. Today, that library carries the name of Sol and Clara Kest — a tribute to the values they lived by and the legacy they left behind.

Who Were Sol & Clara Kest?

Sol and Clara Kest survived the Holocaust. After the war, they married and rebuilt their lives with extraordinary determination.

In 1955, they immigrated to Los Angeles and started from scratch. Sol worked construction, then built one of California's most successful real estate firms. But their true legacy wasn't measured in buildings or business deals.

Sol and Clara devoted themselves to strengthening the Jewish people through education and healthcare. They invested in Jewish continuity, not just for their own children and grandchildren, but for Jews everywhere. Their philanthropic work touched lives across the world — and continues today through the family they raised.
