The Tefillah Chart for Your Kids

In today’s fast-paced world, parents are always looking for ways to connect their kids to Torah and mitzvos. The Tefillah chart for Jewish children (available for download below) is a tool that can help you get your kids excited about davening.

Colorful stars and the promise of a prize at the end of a month can motivate a child to do almost anything. Help your child choose one specific tefillah to focus on for the month. It can be an entire tefillah, like Shacharis or Mincha, or it can be a small section like Krias Shema or Shemoneh Esrei. It can even be a standalone bracha like Asher Yatzar or remembering to say brachos on food.

Focusing on only one tefillah at a time makes success more likely. You can always choose a different tefillah for the next month, so there’s no need to try to improve every area of davening at once.

We recommend letting your son or daughter choose the prize they will receive at the end of the month. If they are excited about the prize, they will be more motivated to keep up the good work. Surprises are nice, but they are too abstract to serve as a motivating factor.

We also recommend supplementing the chart with the Emunah & Tefillah course. The videos, game, comic and quizzes will help kids understand the importance of davening and how it can impact their lives.
